Cloudspire hit the table and about broke it. This game from Chip Theory Games did not disappoint us but it isn’t for the weak when it comes to understanding the nuisances. The core mechanics are easy, but the individual factions are what shine. These individual factions will need practice and patience in order to get good at this game and players will need to be on equal footing. It is one of these games that players that have a constant group will experience the biggest joy because it becomes a chess moves between players. Lot to explore in this game and if you are looking for a new lifestyle game, this might be the one for you.

Pret-a-Porter surprised us for it was not the game we thought it was going to be. We thought it was going to be a crunchy euro that comes down to who managed their enterprise the best. But this game brought out the cutthroat in us and we were doing our best to ensure the other player’s plans were messed up each round. Maybe we made too much out of the backstabbing that was going on, but every round, we heard someone complain about how their whole turn just got messed up.

The card mechanic in Foothills is one of our favorite mechanics and so glad we got this to the table as well. Hard decisions needed to be made and resource management was tight at times. Really enjoy two player games that are quick on the table and Foothills did not disappoint.
